Darko Milicic had 22 points, eight rebounds and five blocks. At one point, in the fourth quarter, the Spurs gave Tim Duncan help with a double team. Really. Spurs coach Gregg Popovich said one of his assistants asked him if Kareem Abdul-Jabbar was out there.

Milicic's 23-point, 16-rebound, six-block, five-assist night set career highs for points and blocks and tied his best for rebounds and assists. By doing so, he joined Kevin Garnett as the only players in Wolves history to record a 20/15/5/5 game. Garnett did it six times.

"I had a good game," Milicic said, "but if you lose the game, it doesn't count."

Somebody asked Beasley on Thursday if he has ever been in a groove like the one in which he has scored 42, 35, 25, 28 and 33 in the past five games. That 42 at Sacramento is a career high.

"I've been in a groove like this my whole life," said Beasley, who doesn't turn 22 until January. "Except for Miami."
